Dear Colorado River Valley Treasure Members:
It’s time to plan for our first meeting on Sunday, Oct. 3rd, at 1:30 PM. We
continue to meet at the United Methodist Church on Lipan Rd. in Fort Mohave.
Members should arrive early to register and/or buy raffle tickets. (Board
Members are to arrive at 12:30 PM.)
We will continue to support the Church’s Food Pantry. Please bring
non-perishable items, paper goods, or personal hygiene products. Do not bring
items with expired “use by” dates. For the coin hunts, bring a canned item or
donate $1.00 to the Food Pantry. Also, for the coin hunts, you must be
registered by 12:45 PM. Hunts begin promptly at 1:00 PM on the 3rd Sunday
of the month, Oct. 17th.
Most of you probably have had your Covid-19 immunizations by now.
If you are not Immunized, we ask that you please wear a face mask. For
those of you who have had your Immunizations, wearing a face mask is optional.
Covid-19 is on the rise again, so we will plan each month’s events on a
monthly basis. Make sure Tammie has your current e-mail address so we can
notify you of any changes.
Find-of-The Month: The Board of Directors has made a change for one
of the entry categories. The “Gold” category has been changed to “Precious
Ores”. This is in addition to categories for Jewelry, Coins, Tokens, Bottles,
Rocks and Relics. Also, for those who want to enter their items, please have
them registered before the Membership Meeting starts at 1:30 PM. For the
October meeting, you should enter the items you found from April through
September. For the November meeting bring the items you found from October.
--2-
We will have a break during the meeting for you to vote for Find-of-the
Month. We continue to use the church’s policy regarding snacks – none.
We need volunteers to help Larry Dolney plan our monthly outings held on
on the second Sunday of the month – October 10th. We are open to suggestions
from members keeping in mind that we need places which can accommodate
20+ vehicles.
In addition, we will be having nominations for board members in November
for the upcoming elections in December. If you are interested in volunteering,
please see one of the officers: President Nancy, Vice-President Jim, Secretary
Cathy or Treasurer Tammie.
We look forward to the beginning of the 2021-2022 Treasure Seekers
Club’s season. (Don’t forget to wear your name badges!) If you have any
questions or concerns, please me at 814-730-1185.
Your President,
Nancy Goodman
